Delete your Babiha account

These instructions apply to accounts used with the Babiha website and the Babiha mobile app, provided by Babiha Care Solutions Limited. Some devices and app stores may still show the app's earlier name, Babiha Carer.

Delete your account in the Babiha app

Open the app, go to Profile, tap Delete Account and confirm. Your request is sent straight away and your care agency is told. Your account is deleted on the date the app shows you, at least 7 days later, and you can cancel from the same screen until then. We email you when your account has been deleted.

Deleting removes your login, your profile photos and the app's notification settings. Your agency keeps your staff record and the care records you wrote, because UK law requires care providers to keep them.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot use the app, or your account is not a carer app account, email a deletion request from your registered account email address. Include your full name, the email used for Babiha and your care agency's name.

Never send us your password or care information. We may ask for limited additional information to verify your identity before acting on a request.

We will respond without undue delay and normally within one calendar month of receiving your request. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity. Any extension or pause will follow the law and be explained to you.

What happens next

• After we confirm an eligible request, there is a 7-day cancellation period. Email privacy@babiha.care during that period if you want to cancel.
• We delete or anonymise account and login information where applicable.
• Some audit, employment, financial, safeguarding or regulatory records may be kept where legal retention requirements apply. Retained records are limited and protected.

Care records and employed users

Your care agency is the controller for service-user care records. Deleting your login does not automatically delete those records. Contact the care agency if your request is about care records; Babiha will support the agency in responding.

For an employment-linked account, your registered manager must coordinate offboarding while preserving records the agency is legally required to keep. You can still contact us about personal data for which Babiha is the controller; the offboarding process does not remove your data protection rights.
